PJ Voorhees

I was born in Gulfport, Mississippi and resurrected in Natchitoches, Louisiana. I grew up with the influence of my folk musician family, and entered the world of songwriting at 14 years old. Music has been my tool to process the world around me. Sometimes, I use music to explore fictional tales, history, or political ideology. Other times, I write a soundtrack to my personal life.

My first record, Primate, was created with production assistance from my father, John Voorhees. Everything recorded since then has been fully produced and engineered by myself. I am always learning new things about music and improving my skills. If you don’t like my current projects, you should keep up with me anyway, because the next thing I make will probably be better.
